There are quite a few investors in TERN who are banking on S-CDMA being the standard some time in the future. Based on the most recent SEC filings, 1.2 no longer exists, basically erasing whatever advantage they might have had. Not only is their advantage gone but they are left high and dry without a DOCSIS product of any iteration --- 1.0 or 1.1.

CMTO is the only pure-play DOCSIS company out there. Spin it any way you want, TERN does not have a competitive DOCSIS product and this opens up markets where they're clearly disappointing customers who've made it clear they want a standard solution.

Eventually the truth will out. In fact, judging by CMTO's recent VideoTron win (largest operator in Quebec)it's already impacting contract decisions.
