Good for you Tero.

You are one of the higher profile members of the SI community. You should post your note to SI Bob

Tero, this letter was in my mailbox:

Tuesday, Jan 18 2000 1:18PM ET
From: Silicon Investor

Dear Silicon Investor Members:

First of all, I want to thank all of you for the strongest quarter of growth in Silicon Investor's history. Silicon Investor
continues to set the standard by which all other message board communities are measured, and that is a direct result
of the quality of SI members and the community.

As you might imagine, managing the message boards is a difficult task, and I think we should all applaud the efforts
of the SI Community Administration team for their hard work and dedication in enforcing the Silicon Investor Terms
of Use as fairly and consistently as possible. The Terms of Use have served the SI community well, but it's the
willing commitment (at least by the vast majority of you) to abide by those terms that makes SI a compelling and
enjoyable experience for all.

In an effort to further enhance the SI experience (and at the suggestion of several members), we have published a
set of guidelines that outlines the process that we generally apply as we enforce the SI Terms of Use. You can
access those guidelines via the following link:

SI Terms of Use Enforcement Guidelines: siliconinvestor.com

SI is a diverse community, and that diversity is one of its greatest strengths, provided that our conversations are
tempered by common decency and mutual respect. At times, in the heat of the moment, tempers flare and emotions
run hot. Often, these situations involve shades of gray, particularly when they involve differing personal opinions. At
these times, we must rely upon the judgment and experience of the SI Community Administration team to find the
most effective way to cool off the situation. Again, we appreciate your support.

I also want to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to not only continue to abide by the "letter of the law" on
SI, but to abide by the Spirit of SI as well. To be sure, the Spirit of SI includes the pursuit of truth through intense
debate and discussion. At the same time, the Spirit of SI embraces the aptly named Golden Rule. (I apologize if that
sounds a little mushy.) In short, let's all do our part to continue to make SI the "gold standard" of Internet
communities.

Thank you for your continued patronage,

Bryan A. Burdick
Managing Director
Silicon Investor

>> Crucially - Maurice is big enough to give credit to people he disagrees with. He doesn't tear down others to build himself up. That's genuine class - perhaps something that SI censors find hard to recognize.

Tero, I have never posted on your thread before, since I have a different perception of the wireless market, but in the matter of Mqarice, we agree 100%. In my eyes, you are now elevated to the level of the Loyal Opposition, a very honorable position indeed.

I hope Mq will forgive this terrible miscarriage of justice and return to grace the SI boards with his wisdom and humor.

I agree with Tero. Moreover, I think both the Nokia and Qualcomm boards should start a new board,

"Regain Maurice to S.I."

he's a invaluable player
