Anyway, I still believe the best upgrade would be to load the new OS onto an empty machine. The possibility of a 'left-over' getting stuck in the gears somewhere would be less. As for using the upgrade package instead of the 'initial' package: Save your money; it only takes a second or two to insert the original disk for verification. (Locating it is another story!)

Peter: Do you see this? You should be able to install fresh by just showing the old disc to the new one. What am I missing?
