Actually, I caught the falling knife without injury and didn't cover (saved only a few hundred dollars as I could probably have closed the contract at 1/16.) I bought these puts as leaps when the stock price was considerably above 30, watched it go to 18, and unbelievably, not one share was ever put to me. When the stock hit its low my paper loss was over $120,000 and today they expire worthless. Go figure. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good (no pun intended with my screen name.)
