My life time fee was $125 when I joined several years ago. I bought a life time membership for a friend of mine as a Christmas gift in 1998 and it had jumped to $200 at that time. Im not certain what it is now.

Whatever the price is I think it worth paying just to escape the Yahoolagins that post on some of their forum that go mainly un-policed.

Like him or not SI Bob and Jill are the best two things that SI's forum has going for it. Ive never talked to Jill but can tell you that Bob is a very fair minded person and great at what he is doing on these threads.

As far as go2net is concerned, you can join SI for free but you will not have any posting privileges although you can send privates to SI members. Its SI's version of a teaser ad promotion that I think is well thought out.
