Lost1: IFMX seems to be taking a breather today with options expiration. This is my speculative play not just for earnings but for value and potential. I have a boat load now and since they didn't prewarn I expect them to exceed the 16 cent forecast. The chart looks good. They've just come out with new internet products this week and they are scheduled to present @ a Linux show in two weeks. So for momentum they do have the right buzz words (of course the Fed meeting is after earnings but b/4 the linux conference). The negative is analysts aversion to companies that cooked the books which this one did a few years ago. Thats been finally settled. They are also acquiring Ardent software which is a plus to the company and should be positive for revenue / earnings growth. Tom mentioned this with PSFT a couple of weeks ago. Earnings are next Wednesday after the close. I look @ HYSL, SYBS and others and like the risk / reward. Won't be an OBAS (I actually sold shares in this but keep the core I acquired in July) but the risk reward is pretty good. On OBAS the fundamentals with HLIT, CSCO and this week Actel, DT, etc in Europe make this a long term hold (unless we finally have the correction with multiple contraction). They will also gain a foothold in Japan in the future. Tim
