George, it's very simple, imo. if you're a serious investor with a long term view and a dollop of patience, the current prices of the miners are simply a steal. it's already too late to pick up the SA miners at THE low, because they have seen it, period. my purchase of GOLD is still up almost 100% and i see this puppy going to the 15-20 bucks area over the next two to three years. it's really a simple choice: either go along with the herd and buy stuff that's at outrageous valuations, hoping for greater fools, or buy LOW. and what if the XAU indeed re-visits it's lows? so what, says i. it would mean there's yet another once-in-lifetime opportunity to load up on these stocks. there simply is no investment opportunity that could be more contrarian in nature than the gold mining stocks.

regards,

hb
