I just hope we don't have to confront the same question with LVCI. I'm loaded to the gills with it and probably would be irresponsible to buy more although my (now) largest holding MRVC has added a lot of buying power to my portfolio in the last few days.<G>

Questions to all VISX's holders.

Warburg Dillon Read analyst Emil Westergaard had predicted a 12% sequential increase
in the number of procedures performed using Visx lasers. Instead, the company's
fourth-quarter revenues of $75 million fell $7 million short of Westergaard's projection.

Still, Visx's revenue almost doubled since last year, when the company reported earnings
of 26 cents a share on revenue of $41.9 million.

Do you think that VISX shortfall of $7 million that Westgaard's broker firm claim due to some possible reasons:

. First is Yr2000 scare, patients might postpone their surgeries until the scare is over.

. Secondly, people just want to hold some extra $$cash in hand at the end of the year 2000 for just in case.

. Patient wouldn't like to have a surgery on their face during the holiday season. Particularly during the year end of 2000, patient are scared of system malfunction due to Y2k bug & how can they in touch with doctors just in case.

To me, this is silly, VISX made the estimates except the stupid thing called whispered number that nobody knows exactly where they came from. VISX is now down more than 70% from the high & certainly 3 or 4 broker firms came out and downgraded it. Think if they like VISX at $70 or $80/shr, they must very like it at this level so they came out at once to downgrade so they could buy dirt cheap from the fears. Think if no motive, why they bother to spend time to analyse VISX. A company with real EPS, hold more than 70 market share and this company holds over 140 patents for the technology worldwide and has more than 70 additional patents pending.(VISX corporate web site).

I really believe VISX is a good value & great potential stock in years to come. Good luck to all long VISX's shareholders.
