Hard Drives make good gyroscopes.

Kerry,

Just to be a horse's butt, I'll ask the question that inquiring minds want answered... Did you bolt it down this time? <g>

Ummmm..... no

Now hear me out. There's a perfectly good explanation.

It's sitting on a piece of cardboard on top of her drive. Also the machine is currently unplugged.

The other day, someone posted a URL that includes a list of the top 10 best and worst drives out there. I noticed that though mine's a Quantum Fireball, they listed a Quantum Bigfoot as the 2nd worst. I told my wife I knew for sure I'd put a Bigfoot in some machine somewhere at some time, but couldn't recall where or when.

Well, it turns out that's what's in her machine. Tonight I'll bolt mine down in her machine and make that Bigfoot her second drive, and just use it to hold MP3's. Gonna be a long night weekend, but I should be back up to 100% come Monday.

BTW, that list showed IBM as the best (most reliable) hard drives. Glad that's what my new one is.

Bob
