OTOT Pebble Update

A few months ago I alerted people to a potentially interesting shiny pebble, an internet telephony company about to go public where I knew and thought highly of the management team:

The company, ITXC, went public at 12 and closed the first day around 28. Over the next couple of months it increased slowly to the high 40's, then drifted down to the mid 30's. I posted the following during the dip, in response to a request for reasons why ITXC longs shouldn't lose faith and sell out at the bottom:

Around the beginning of the year the stock really started to move (no one really knows why, but on the ITXC board we think it's a combination of a pre-earnings run-up, large institutional investors taking a position, and a small float). Anyway, the story is the same as always, in fact better because it is playing out according to the script (increased minutes, more partnerships, expansion continuing, etc.), and now the stock is up to about 87.

Most interesting to me is the fact that nobody, I mean nobody, seems to know much about the company, which is still very small. So there could be a long way to go on the upside as it becomes more widely known.

Very risky, do your own DD, etc. etc. Just thought I'd give those as likes snowballs a heads-up...

PS I expect the numbers at the next earnings report, due in a couple of weeks, to show evidence of a tornado in progress...

Bruce, Merlin, Tef, pala, etc.--

Interesting piece on Manugistics in today's Wall Street Journal. Gist of it is that they're attempting a turnaround by going on to the web, and seem to be doing ok so far, but that the big boys (Oracle, SAP) are trying to come into SCM too, and--most relevant to us, perhaps--i2 has whipped them soundly over the last year and a half...
