Mr. Burke, re: (to Paul Engel) "PE, Dumb comments from you, as usual."

Seeing your post, I was thinking back to when you started posting on the Prodigy Money Talk BB. You have always been a very eloquent and convincing writer, you made a name for yourself on Prodigy, and now on your very own SI thread, "Ask Mike Burke".

When I started seriously investing, and reading your posts on Prodigy, I distinctly remember weighing your advice against my own feeble analysis. This was back around 1993-94-95. You were very negative on tech companies including Microsoft, Intel, Cisco. You gave the EXACT same advice that you do now, buy out-of-the-money puts (in 1/3 increments) on these dogs, because they are overvalued and will soon correct to their real value, next to zero. Under no circumstances was anyone to invest in these companies.

I was lucky (smart?) enough to decide to ignore your advice. But you had many, many "followers". These were folks that were involved, they wanted to invest and make money, but they listened to Mike Burke. Now, five to seven years later, those stocks that you denigrated have increased ten to fifty times. What service have you done for the folks that listened to your advice, and missed the greatest bull market ever?

My take only. You are a person that needs to be attract attention, and you will do anything to that end, truth be damned. It probably doesn't bother you that many people have followed your advice and lost the opportunity to gain wealth. You still have "Ask Mike Burke".

It takes all kinds. I wouldn't sleep at night, if I had done what you have done. "Dumb comments", I wish I had a buck for every $1000. you lost for the folks that lost money on your "smart" analysis.

You ARE, simply, a jack ass.

John

Michael,

Why don't you stick to your thread? Surely you are not coming to the INTC thread to enlighten us with your knowledge of tech stocks......you have none. If you had ANY foresight whatsoever you would not have gone against the New Economy Bellwethers of Tech year after year after year. Do you enjoy pain so much?

And by the way, you said you were going to get back to me with the supposed information you had about AMAT being part owner of a fab, the article you claimed to read but forgot where. The information you claimed as fact to your lemmings on your thread. You never did get back to me because you made it up! Not only are you a person lacking vision but you have ZERO CERDIBILITY!

BTW, could you please explain the bolded part? What facts do you base this on? Surely it is not computer sales....INTC cannot keep up with demand!

To All, In keeping with a major injection of cash from profit taking and computer stocks going up while they have the worst fundamentals in their history, I bought some more puts on IBM and Dell today. I would have bought more on CPQ, but, with the stock higher than when I bought my first third, the puts are higher, so go figure, but don't go buy. <g> HWP just won't let me in. It goes down as soon as I try to buy puts. And Gateway has its one week honeymoon after reporting disastrous eps. Then, it joins the list.

Bearke - Re: "> But this fluff stock is doomed and if I don't get 1000% this cycle of puts on Intel, I will next one"

Sure - you'll conjure up a winner even if YOU HAVE TO FAKE IT !

Re: "It is easy to be nice to the ignorati such as yourself after unloading a ton of PG puts. <g> "

YOU FAKE your winners - yet you accuse Intel of faking their numbers.

You PermaBearkes lose money right and left by betting against good companies, then you magically invent winners out of hot air !
