I found it funny!

I was browsing Dell's online store a minute ago.

gigabuys.us.dell.com

Dell's Gigabuys has Athlon 550-700 in stock! Actually volumn range of Athlon. It also lists two Athlon boards (AMI and gigabyte), but says boards "Temporarily out of stock; order now and we'll ship when available".

gigabuys.us.dell.com

It all lists Intel CPUs. Guess what? Only PII 450 Zeon 2m ($4454.95 :~() and PIII 500E.

Now, I have some questions:
- Is AMD still mainboard constraint? Doesn't sounds right because Fry's has them NOW.

- Why the hell does Dell sell Athlon processors/boards? Try to be a normal business entity?

- Why the hell does Dell have only two lowly Intel processors when everybody agrees Dell is the biggest Intel distributor?

I am lost here. Dell is hedging its bets???

What a week!
