I'm guessing they aren't comfortable issuing new equity because of the dilution. But debt of any kind will strain their cash flow. No bank will issue a loan since Amazon has no tangible assets. Dilution in some form is their only way out. Does anybody know offhand what their cash flow from operations is? It will be about -$675 million in 1999.

Does anybody know offhand what their cash flow from operations is? An easier way to keep track of this is it is a -$2 million each day, seven days a week. They will have $2 million less this time tomorrow.

So I'm sure he will answer your question. Btw Amzn bought a 5% stake in Greenlight for an undisclosed sum? Amzn will receive from Greenlight $85mil over 5 years? Hey, that's income for amzn!!! Now my question to you is how will Greenlight come with the $85mil? From another IPO? Never underestimate the power of the keiretsu!!!
