at 16.50 to buy a car, (sorry Ian, but it beats walking to DC ;)


No apology required. I firmly believe that the best time to sell is when one has a better use for the money.

Since you've opened the "man, I wish I hadn't done that" discussion, I bought a bunch of shares of Qualcomm a few years back at 4.25, (split-adjusted). Unfortunately, I sold them after they had tripled because I needed the money to remodel my house. If I had held on, I could have torn the whole thing down and built a mansion. Ah well.
