Softbank to own 60% of Vertical Net Japan (with VerticalNet US to own 40%) is more typical good news on one of the hot stocks on the US internet market. The percentage ownership in these ventures as they migrate to Japan indicates a deference to Softbank, truly the 800 pound gorilla of Japan Internet. Thanks for the heads up Linda. I either missed the story or just overlooked it in the continuing flood of deals from Softbank. I don't know how Son can keep up with all of the deals, but I suppose this was only a minor one initially involving only $4 million to start.
