JC, Looks like you, an obvious UNIX fan (no, I should phrase it as anti Microsoft fan), leave no ground for discussion. That's all right. We should not waste the bandwidth over here on that subject anyway. I key in UNIX commands more than I click against Windows everyday. It's a good living and I know how you feel. Assuming you are in corporate legacy environment, it certainly sounds very different from what I have experienced, but variation is a good thing, that makes our life more colorful.
