Haqi, We have a lot of history about the Indian American in my area. The Tribes (Cheyenne-Arapaho) have a reservation about 5 miles from my home called Concho. There was also a major battle that from what I understand, was ruthless as the Calvary made an early morning attack and killed women and babies. I have to ask if I remember the battle correctlly. Was it called Whiskey Creek or Soldier Creek or something similiar to that?

General Phil Sheridan, who was quite a famous Indian fighter was posted at Ft. Reno near here. They still have his headquarters and keep the Fort up as a tourist sight. You may know that General Custer was under Sheridan and reported directly to him. They have an annual show here and they have many spirit guides who participate in the event by dressing and acting the part of soldiers, Indians, and so forth. They all tell a story about the real person that they represent.

The tribes have prospered from cigarette sales and they have a giant gambling casino. Gambling is strictly illegal here but they claim exemption as they are a Nation to themselves and the State has no juristiction over them.
I don't approve of it but I often wonder if the profit is being used for all instead of a few promoters.

I wished there organization(A.I.M. was as forceful as the Naacp and I believe that they would be able to hold their head up in society. They have a very hard time because they are taught it is impolite to look directly at a person and they are very shy. Most associate their manner as sneaky and ignorant when that is the farthest thing from the truth.

Just thought you might be interested.
