So did you erase your aol 5.0?

Yes, I tried to use my backup AOL 4.0 but irreparable damage had been done and the reformat was inevitable. I had the same problem at work (where I use AOL) that you did and I reverted to 4.0. I also had a problem with 5.0 losing connection several times a day so I decided to just hang in there with 4.0. I would recommend not using 5.0 with any broadband connection until the problems are ironed out.

ps: against my advice a friend of mine installed bb this week over his current 5.0 and he is now toast. I am not bashing AOL but it is hard to believe they would allow this to happen.
