Hi rise - hirise - boy do I need some rest <g>. Mining stocks: In this mkt one has the opportunity to buy the highest and safest quality very cheaply. There needs to be almost no gambling <g>. Let me first say I consider everything I buy, mining and tech stocks, to be goat pasture - so I am always careful and stay very diversified. I think the two safest stocks under a buck are IP and PVO. The big problem is you can never know for sure what kind of financial shape any of the companies are really in so I take small positions in a lot of companies - with a larger flyer every once in a while. Also I like to mix up exploration, with proven reserves and I like to mix up base and precious metals. Perfect example PVO - lots of money, silvertip deposit is proven with great exploration - it is both a zinc and a silver deposit. Everything is there. With IP I just think they have the goods and the mkt doesn't care because it is mining <g>. Other ones I sort of like but I have done almost no Due Diligence are: atg, asm, mai (is a gamble), bay, fom, man. I like silver better than gold; and I especially like silver and zinc together, cde for a larger stock. As the tech stocks give me profits I will move some into mining and regular companies <g> like kqr ( fish farms vaccines).
