OK, I'll bite. What was the best thing to happen?
Seriously, I think we are starting to see an opening develop where OPEC may be able to start increasing production without causing a major price plunge. We're starting to hear about shortages and panics for the first time now. If crude gets above $30, then OPEC has much better chance of engineering a drop to around $25 without the freefall expected if they had increased earlier. The increasing tightness psychology needs to play out a little longer IMO, but we're starting to see perceptions change now. I haven't heard any Wall Street analyst predict the price of oil will soon be $10 again in a whole week now.
