Joe - I feel the same way about "analysts". Most have "agendas" -- their firm most likely is BUYING the stocks they put out SELLS on, then when they want to unload the "house account", the analysts are ordered to issue a BUY recommendation. I saw it happen too many times when I used to trade with a full service broker (haven't done that in a while). I'd find a stock that looked good to me, I'd mention to the broker and he'd say they had a SELL or HOLD on it. Then some time later, I'd check on the stock. If it was UP, you can bet they had a BUY on it -- after it had doubled.
