A little bit of con-sol(id)-ation - ATHM is an Art Samberg pick in part II of Barron's Roundtable (990124), irrespective of the usual concocted prejudices: Q: Any other trends you'd care to mention? Samberg: Broadband access -- that's something Mario probably knows more about than I do. I'm sure he'll talk about AOL and Time Warner at some point, because that's what broadband is. An example of the possibilities is represented in Excite@Home. The company is a weird company because it is both a portal and a broadband connectivity play. But it self-installs. It's going to get easier. You're not going to need a technician to come out. That is an asset that has some value.
