In the latest Scientific American there is a boxed column not too far from the front that summarizes a number of things that people on this thread, including me, keep pointing out--about the dollar, trade balances, debt,etc. If it has got to the point of being a matter of scientific fact, rather than mere permabearish hysteria (as various unnamed persons tell us from time to time), the economic future may not be too bright for the US.

I used both the coupons and bought stuff I was going to buy (as you say) with real money. They have some good oven mits and a nice Ecko dish brush, as well as some interesting kitchen utensils.
