The reason I was bugging Steve Abramson about the photoluminescent patent was that it could bring in revenues before any OLED displays. Now, from the latest release, we know that that patent is in the PANL stable. It would be nice to know what, if anything, their plans are for it. Even if a blue OLED isn't used to drive it I still think that there might be a commercial market for it, since you can drive the inks with a UV light. I saw in the electronics store a UV light smaller in diameter than a drinking straw.

I'll ask my PhD buddy at HP and see if she thinks there would be any interest in ink-jet printable photoluminescent inks for the disposable picture/art market. Seems like a real neat idea to me. I know I'd buy some <gg>.
