RFMD - growth prospects mentioned in their quarterly report:

Tuesday January 18, 5:06 pm Eastern Time
Company Press Release SOURCE: RF Micro Devices, Inc.

[these are a few excerpts]

David Norbury, President and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "Orders for our relatively new GaAs HBT CDMA power amplifier products accounted for a surprisingly strong 23% of total orders. "

"Looking forward, we are encouraged by a number of factors. Based on the most recent forecast from our largest customer, we currently expect that our business with them should grow significantly faster over the next twelve months than it has over the past twelve months. In addition, over the next several quarters we anticipate that at least two other large customers will for the first time begin high volume handset production using our products. "

"We see opportunities today for revenue growth in our fourth quarter and we intend to pursue those vigorously throughout the rest of this calendar year. In particular, we believe that we are positioned to substantially improve our market share in CDMA, which is projected by industry analysts to be the highest growth air interface standard for the next few years."

Are you at all aware of VerticalNet and yesterdays deal with MSFT ?

Yes.

Is VERT at all like your front office companies or is it a different bread?

Different bread. VERT sets up electonic vertical B2B markets on the Web. Front office office automation helps customers acquire and retain their customers.
