Is this statement intended as a joke?


All high tech companies should pay dividends, just like PG&E or New England Electric do. Why else would we want to buy stocks? Nothing has changed in 50 years, we all buy stocks for dividends only. Plowing money back into R&D be damned, just crank out the same products for 10 years at a time.
