This message is for Marc and Patrick, I missed all of the exchange on the DWA thread and just spent the last hour going through every message back to what I think was the beginning and what you two perceived as an insult. "picking up dimes in front of a bulldozer..." You found this a ridicule? How? Tom has used that expression for years. He's used it for different kinds of trades, he uses it as an example of some of his trading, he uses it to discuss the weather but never have I heard him use it specifically to insult. I wouldn't normally speak for Tom but in this case I must ask both of you to reconsider your reaction. Agreed I know Tom better than you but do you really honestly think that he would insult your trading techniques? Please. Patrick, since I've known you and have been introduced to you through JXM I've had several conversations with Tom concerning daytrading and real time quotes. I've used you as an example and have mentioned that real time quotes and program would be very beneficial to those that do daytrade . Know what his response was? "We'll look into it immediately"... And they have. He's always strove to provide what the investors have wanted and needed. They've been working on different ways to provide real time for the more spirited investors and it is just a matter of when and how to do it best. So again I ask you.... do you really think he meant to insult? Go back and read the post again. I believe he also said "...kidding". If I may say most respectfully, that you and it appears Marc have been way too sensitive. Patric I've had you take offense to my posts when I never meant any harm. I've tried very hard to help you learn and even offered an olive branch of sorts and this post is very much in that vain. I submit you misunderstood and from that, things took a nasty turn. Reading back into the posts I see where the issue of "time" is being discussed on two different layers each not having anything to do with the other. We set the DWA thread to teach. From what I see there is no other thread that tries as hard to help investors with a particular craft. In no way do we say it is our way or no way. Tommy tried to offer an explanation of the "time" issue which again I say the two points weren't in conjunction with each other. Both were right in their different arena's. Nobody has to admit to being wrong - from what I read. I've seen from other threads that people bash and stomp and insult each other for reasons completely unknown to me. It breaks my heart actually because this is such a wonderful forum for learning. I've tried real hard, very hard to keep the DWA thread a happy place where people can be comfortably - free from any attacks no matter who they are. The past few days the tone has become bitter and this really upsets me - it really does. I put a lot of work into this and I don't think anyone would argue my intentions to help educate anyone who wants to learn. Tommy's is the same otherwise he wouldn't participate. Remember why I set the Reno trip? It was so that we could learn different trading techniques from each other but face to face instead of online. Why would I do that, being a DWA person, if I felt it was my way or no other way at all? That is ridiculous. The DWA thread is for learning PnF. It is also for learning DWA. I think Atins program, while a good one and very useful for daytraders, is confusing some issues and it seems to have also brought this ugly tone. Maybe perhaps it would be good to set a separate thread for the QPnF program for those that want to learn its intricacies better and leave the DWA thread for learning the basic PnF methodology. I think this would keep things clear especially for those just learning. Let's keep things comfortable for those just learning. I get pmessages all the time from people who don't feel comfortable as is posting on a public forum and I don't want to make it even more so by any conflict. Of course I'm willing to take any suggestions that you two may have. Whether you all decide to stay with DWA is your own decision and I won't persuade you otherwise but I do suggest you rethink your reaction to his and others comments. There clearly was no offense. Jan I'm also posting this on the DWA thread as a general message. My mailbox was full today from people really upset with the bitterness on the thread.
