well, to be honest, i don't mind paying extra for better service. i think if you add all the aggravation for not being able to connect it'll be worth it. btw -- i still have aol (but am using usc instead) as an isp but will drop them soon. if you can remember all the busy signals --and they still survived. the best part the isp is that i only gave my free email account (rocketmail) rather than aol so i wouldn't be stuck with them. i don't know how etrade will survive since they have the same problem (not being able to make a trade/log on) for quiet a while now. i don't know how much of an incentive they''ll hav to improve if you calculate how hard it's to switch.
