Nothing like talking to yourself on this thread! Lol! We get more Siebel discussion on the G&K thread! Very, very interesting news coming from IBM (gee don't you almost get a feel that IBM and SEBL are very close? ;-).. Anyway..

"On Monday, IBM will announce its WebSphere Commerce Suite 4.1, which the company said aims to help companies boost sales through customer loyalty and targeted marketing programs."

Interesting that they should mention that the new software package is targeting "customer loyalty" as one of it's primary missions.. Isn't "customer loyalty" CRM's playing field??? Doesn't IBM NOT have a CRM offering anymore? Isn't Siebel IBM's CRM 'offering' now? What gives?

Really grabbing at straws here but perhaps this is a very close collaboration between Siebel and IBM to roll out e-business solutions with Siebel's software being one of the cornerstones to this family of software. How close is this relationship anyway???
