Whoops, general comment only. I like ABX to - but what are it's
long term prospects? The quickest way to a gold fortune is a penny stock sitting on a mine like Comaplex are their parent Comstate that also has oil production. I'm not hyping either because I've sunk all my money in another hard rock play.

Bob, <<Barrick just to tick off the ABX bashers>> IMO that's the best reason on anyone's list. Why would an investor buy something designed to sit still? People invest in stocks to either go up or down, the greater the rate of change the better. I offer the internet stocks as experimental evidence that valuations mean nothing, just money appreciation. Yes Barrick will survive, their management will survive, but their stock goes nowhere on leverage to POG. There are too many other choices for investors to leverage their money. Now if Barrick will open an investment house moving options electronically, the new E*Trade, etc., there's their niche. <VBG>

BTW, before you seriously reply, know that while there's a grain of truth, my post is tongue in cheek, intended to stimulate discussion of the underlying problems in POG. IMO you took my last post on Barrick much too seriously.
