You are absolutely right, X. But, of course, you knew that. Have you paid any attention to the condemnation of John Rocker?

It presents a striking example of not being PC being the mortalest sin of all.

With no small amount of encouragement from a "journalist", this unsophisticated small-town southern bumpkin basically disses the big city (NYC being the biggest).

Next thing you know, every a*****e with an audience or a community or constituency to "represent" wants Rocker banned from baseball or to crawl on his belly like a reptile, all the way from Atlanta to the Rainbow Coalition's office in Timbuktu. This sanctimonious blather has been going on non-stop for weeks.

Strangely (to me), in the middle of this page-one flap, two NBA players race down the street over a hundred miles an hour -- one dies after spinning into traffic in the other lane. He's eulogized as a great guy. No one says jack about the other racer (history of speeding, suspended license, Porsche deliberately modified to go faster). Maybe if a mini-van full of Brownies had burst into flames.....

Something's out of whack here, if you ask me. But, then, you didn't ask me. IMO, we've all become the thought police. Very effective system.

Sucks.
