Interesting article on speculation in shares of bankrupt companies. Quite scary. They won't be getting my shorts. <GG> The only investments in bankrupt companies that I remember being very profitable for the small investor were ones where the company went into bankruptcy because of a judgment in a lawsuit in order to buy time to settle or otherwise pay the judgment in an orderly manner rather than have the company liquidated piecemeal by the creditor plaintiff through execution, e.g., Texaco. There was great inherent value and profitability, but the litigation could kill the company.
