RF,

WAP is an acronym for Wireless Access Protocol. It was developped by Nokia, Ericcson and Phone.com. WAP is used to deliver web access to mobile wireless devices, like cell phones.

Stanford and NN are not in the mobile wireless space at all. They are in the fixed wireless market, providing wireless last mile connectivity. WAP is not relevant at all to NN. And no one company will control WAP although PHONE.COM is benefitting from it the most.

I miss Pat too (vbg)
