Sunny, there are two points.
1. Life in Hongkong is lived with great intensity. People there are alive to the main chance in a way that's hard for people in Canada or Germany to imagine. HongKong people apply a magnifying glass, intently, to the world and naturally everything comes out larger than life. It's very exciting. Statistically it happens to be a fact that because of their concentration on the matter and other factors they make money faster than in almost any other place on the planet that doesn't have oil wells.
2. If we divert our eyes from the stock market and look at the real world we can see a technological revolution. That's behind the global rise in the tech stocks. Now, ask yourself, is technology a passing fad? If so you'd better sell all your tech stocks right now. If technology isn't a passing fad and is in fact accelerating then if you concentrate on stocks which generate the technology or benefit from it in a large way(9984) then IMHO you'll do well.
