Some background.

"Poseidon Oil Pipeline System
The Poseidon Oil Pipeline System is owned 36% by a subsidiary of Leviathan, 36% by a subsidiary of Texaco, and 28% by a subsidiary of Marathon Oil. The Poseidon pipeline system consists of the following integrated segments:

a) Approximately 117 miles of 16 and 20 inch oil pipeline extending from Leviathan?s platform at Garden Bank 72 to Leviathan's platform at Ship Shoal 332.

b) Approximately 70 miles of 24 inch pipeline from the Ship Shoal 332 Platform to an onshore Louisiana interconnection with Texas Pipeline, Inc. in the Caillou Island area.

c) Approximately 58 miles of 16 inch pipeline extending from Ewing Bank 873 to a new connection to the 24 inch pipeline in the area of South Timbalier 200 and on to Ship Shoal 141 where it interconnects with the Eugene Island Pipeline System. This pipeline has been integrated into the Poseidon system with a connection to the 24 inch in the area of South Timbalier 200.

d) Approximately 52 miles of 24 inch pipeline extending from the Caillou Island area to Texaco?s tank farm at Houma, Louisiana. The Poseidon system has an estimated capacity of 400,000 barrels per day at maximum hydraulics from Ship Shoal 332 to Houma, Louisiana."
