Jan- Actually I should have been more specific, I wasn't talking about vertical lines for PO's but horizontal lines. In a basing pattern the horizontal line with the most boxes is chosen because it is a volume indicator.

I have been staying out of the time discussion, but there was a question that arose from the post about the hypothetical SEC investigation and a big drop intraday. UTCC preannounced Fri and today the stock dropped below where I would have put my stop, now its above again. Do I wait for the end of the day (in general) to get a print and sell (if it were still below), or see whether it can rally and close above the stop?. Or is each case different, with UTCC for example it was still close enough to the stop to possibly get back above it intraday, but with something like LU recently where it can't possibly get back by the end of the day to the stop, would you sell?
