John,

ITWO analysis. Lazy & didn't try to convert to G&K analysis. Perhaps Buckley has a first impression.

I remember seeing that report awhile back and didn't take the time to read it again. I have nothing new to so I'll review stuff I've mentioned in the past.

All I can say, not having investigated i2 deeply, is that the company is definitely playing a Gorilla game in which they are the leading contender if not the Gorilla. (Bruce and others have a more informed opinion about that distinction than I.)

I continue to maintain that their supply chain sector will be the most easily subsumed by the ERP players. i2 is doing battle against that threat by leveraging the supply chain of last year to the B2B sector of this and upcoming years. To the extent that they will be (or won't be)successful in doing that, investors can justify (or not justify) the current valuation.

John does I2 sell an 'off the shelf' product or are they basically custom contractors that do something unique for each customer? Granted 'unique' meaning they can leverage past ideas into present projects. The software app industry went through this same transformation. From custom, to semi custom, to standard off the shelf apps, to standard off the shelf apps that can then be fairly easily customized by the customer. Trying to get a handle on I2 and how they may stand up when the ERP and CRM markets start to converge with the b2b market (it's already starting to happen).
