Hi Art, it's been a while.

For snow we got 4.5 and a 1.5 last week so it's not bad. Up until the last few days we basically had open water.

I was set for some fall fishing with the nice weather and things went to hell. My wife's horse got spooked by a run away horse as she was dismounting to help the thrown rider. Her knee was termed as blown out and a knee replacement would have been in order if she hadn't had 6 breaks in her lower leg.

That was November 8th and she may start walking in March. It's in bed or in the wheelchair until then. I'm the food fetcher, laundry man and also have to take her brace off and put her on a theropy machine 2 hours 3 times a day. November 12th was a sad day. She was still in the hospital and I took Precious down to the lake, added winterizer to her tanks and let her run 30 minutes still on the trailer while I emptied all my fishing gear out of her.

I'm hoping for an early spring and a healed wife so I can get out on any body of water.

Have you been icing a few?

Hi Art,

This lack of rain is going to ruin the fishing. They bay where I go to get shad for bait is 2' deep, the lake is down 4' so I doubt there's much water in the bay. My best crappie spots are dry land now. Time for this old dog to get some new tricks.
