Thanks for the book recommendation. I haven't read this kind of stuff since the late 80's. I read a couple of Paul Davies' books and kept up with the latest in string theory, very exotic at that time.

I find it astonishing they think they're close to solving the riddle of gravity. That seemed light years away 15 years ago! I intend to order the book, thanks again.

Lq, thanks for the link. I'll get the book for my dad. He is a mathmatician and loves physics.
I on the other hand, took only one physics class and never went higher than calculus. I am going to let my dad to do the book review for me.<g>

Just curious, why do you spend so much time lurking?
To learn new stuff or to get the feel for what the momos and average joe6pack thinks?

Have you tried "ignor this person" function?
It comes in pretty handy.

Einstein's gravitational ideas.

that reminds me of one wild idea I had for a long time...
I think someday, we will use that gravity in our advantage to travel.
Just like the magnet, if we can find the way to repel against gravity, then the personal airplane will be as common as today automobile. <g>

Do you think it will be possible someday?
