Why not MS-Linux OS? It just becomes another brand on their shelf.

It would be *great if there were an M$ Linux. That would be very (read: very) *good for Corel. Corel wouldn't need to employ all those bright engineers just to work around M$'s obfuscating API shell game. Instead those engineers could do something innovative. You see, if there were a M$ Linux, M$ wouldn't be allowed (under the GPL) to embrace and extend anything (which is their only MO). There would be source code coming out of Redmond (yea!). Because of that little dynamic and the dynamic of there being no such things as seat licenses or any of the other innovative uses of US Code Title 17 (Copyright) law, and the Uniform Commercial Code, M$ has an extreme disincentive to publish a branded Linux distribution.

M$ is in a corner. They're confused right now and need guidance from a federal judge. :)
