Our cheapest gas just shot up from 1.24 to 1.44 in the last week, fwiw.....

hdrjr: The Texas tax stated is way out of line. Must be a misprint. Also, the hot link provided by razorbak (post #58934) indicates 20 cents state + 18.4 cents federal, in line with the 37.4 cents you see at the pump. The other states vary by small amounts from the fuel price survey in the January 2000 Family Motor Coach magazine. Sorry for reprinting the erroneous numbers.

FWIW, the price of gas on 11/29/99 for Texas, for 2202 stations surveyed was: lowest 0.799, average 1.272, highest 1.589. Diesel shows a state tax rate of 0.2075 and prices from: lowest 1.169, average 1.252, highest 1.399.
