The first step of Varitek's expansion into the auto safety and communications market happens  on the platform of Dinet and WDS's reliable, low cost and user friendly VLARS (vehicle location, apprehension, and recovery system).Dec. 2/99  Varitek's plan for future recurring revenue streams happens  with the announcement of its plan to launch an affordable, on board, 24 hour monitored security and information service for auto owners.Dec. 28/99  Varitek signs an exclusive licensing agreement with Dinet Distributed Networks (developer of VLARS)and CEO Randy Bayne announces the intent of both parties to merge the two corporations. Plans for the product launch happen  without the constraints of organizational restructuring delays. Jan. 5/00  Varitek announces a technology licensing agreement with Recoton Corporation (a global leader in the development, manufacture and marketing of consumer electronic accessories, loudspeakers and car audio products) and the stage is set for production to happen . Utilizing Recoton's marketing and distribution capabilities, manufacturing ability and brand names Recoton is well positioned to provide products utilizing Varitek's telematics technology . Currently Recoton manufactures over 4,000 products. Recoton is a giant and the fact that they have entered into this arrangement with Varitek speaks volumes. Jan. 20/00  Varitek retains Merger Communications to coordinate its media and investor relations programs. Awareness and dissemination of information are now set to happen  as they have never happened before for Varitek.
