Re: "Whats this? A liars contest Elmer? Just 4 months ago when the athlon was first introduced, amd introduced the 600 and 650 mhz and 1 month later introduced the 700 mhz before Intel introduced the 700 mhz coppermine. Now I realise the 633-b was introduced before the 700 athlon was but the facts that both 650 and 700 athlon were introduced before 700 mhz coppermine. Wasn't that enough of a demonstration for you? Think it can't happen again?"

Come on hmaly, don't drift away from the subject. Here's what you said and that's what I responded to:

"With AMD's abilty to improve speed by using copper and put cache on die"

AMD has not demonstrated any ability to use copper in a production sense much less an ability to improve speed by using that copper process, so your claim has nothing to back it up. Their efforts to put cache on die have been a major disaster to date so that claim is as empty as the first. If you are saying that you are confident that they will overcome these obsticles in the future, well then that's your opinion and you are entitled to it but so far your claims are without any basis to back them up. Welcome to the AMD thread. You will fit in perfectly with all the other AMDroids.

BTW I think you may be one of the worst spellers on this thread.

hmaly,

Amd has already demoed a 900mhz copper athlon at comdex last Nov. Just because it wasn't shoved up your nose doesn't mean it doesn't exist. In addition Jerry said at cc that copper chips would start limited production 2q-00 and large scale production 3q-00. In addition the register reported last friday that the 850 would be introduced Fe. 14 and 900 mhz athlons would be intrduced shortly thereafter. Jerry also said at cc that 850 and 900 mhz athlons would be introduced shortly. Are you really calling him a liar?"

Elmer is a congenital liar.

And with incessant name-calling try's to browbeat other.

Apparently thats they way he gets his "jollies".
