Prices of silver recovered sharply on the bullion market Friday in Mumbai (Bombay) due to good industrial demand while gold declined further on lack of buying support and fall in the international prices.
Standard gold and 22-carat gold both declined by 30 rupees (0. 70 U.S. dollar) to close at 4,530 rupees (105.35 dollars) per 10 grams and 4,190 rupees (97.44 dollars) as against the last close of 4,560 rupees (106.05 dollars) and 4,220 rupees (98.14 dollars), respectively.

Meanwhile, ready silver (.999 fineness) closed at 8,120 rupees( 188.84 dollars) per kilogram, showing a rise of 70 rupees(1.63 dollar).

Raw silver (.916 fineness) also shot up to 7,990 rupees (185.81 dollars) from 7,935 rupees (184.53 dollars) per kg.
