...It is the long slow declines that you have to worry about....

I think that the people that are successful with this strategy will tell you to stay OTM and don't go out very far unless it is a repair. Slow declines are profitable if you have enough cushion and don't go out very far. DELL is a good company but has been a lousy stock to hold this year.... I make money on it almost every month.
