Hi Jane and all.

First time this weekend I got on SI. Went skiing yesterday and my daughter (11) took a nasty spill. I didn't see it, since she was hauling ass out in front of me, but she said she cartwheeled twice. Left one ski about 25' up the hill.

She said she hit her head on the snow, but seemed fine. That night, she got a killer headache, and complained about being dizzy and nauseous, so off to the ER we went. After 6 hours and a CT scan, it was pronounced no neurological damage. Then today, she complained about numbness in the right arm, which later extended to the right leg. Back to the ER, this time with Mom. I understand that they now think she pinched a nerve in the fall, which is causing the numbness. They're on their way home now.

Needless to say, it's been a tiring weekend.

As soon as she's up to it, we'll be out shopping for helmets.

Janeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Long as I remember the snows been coming down
Squawls of misery, heavy
Confusion on the roads.
Still the snow keeps dumping
Dumping on my grass
So I wonder
Still I wonder...

When am I gonna set the hot water sprinkler loose on the grass?

YUK!

At least if we can keep the freeze going, we'll have a good year for sugarin'. that's about the best I can figure.

Hope all's well with you. if you gotta drive out, be safe. Even the main roads are getting covered faster than they can clear them.
