Probably Lexar, who also makes CompactFlash cards, along with Toshiba, who makes Smartmedia cards.

Billgo, from a press rleations and "Branding" viewpoint, Sandisk is being schooled by Sony. (Memory Stick).

I guess Hitachi and Samsung are the biggest direct competitors now that an alliance between SanDisk and Toshiba is being drafted.

I don't really see Sony as a direct competitor.

Intel apparently sold off its flash card business to Centennial.
