NEW YORK, Jan 22 (Reuters) - The following are estimates by
market research firms Dataquest and IDC of personal computer

same quarter in 1998, both worldwide and in the U.S. market.
Dataquest, a unit of Gartner Group Inc. , estimated

In a separate survey also to be released Monday,
International Data Corp. estimated worldwide PC factory

quarter versus the year-earlier quarter.
The first of the following two tables contain Dataquest
data for full 1999 year results in both the worldwide and U.S.
PC markets. The third and fourth tables contain IDC's
