Looks like you are doing fine, Sham! Since you are not an "old Fart" like Uncle Frank, Downsouth, Merlin, and I, there is no reason to be running around with a lot of cash on hand.

If your philosophy was to have a cash hoard and buy during crashes, that would change. I have never had that point of view. I have always figured I was better off fully invested, and making money on the stocks now.

Shahram, Great portfolio!

I highly recommend you use Lindy's Russian Army approach to reducing your number of holdings. That will give you some tough choices with the stocks you own!

Do keep in mind that what the old farts have been discussing is the next phase of our wealth building strategy designed to secure our futures, reduce our stress and give us opportunity to continue our wealth building--all at the same time. It has little or nothing to do with our evaluations of the future of any particular company or the market in general.

I will remain fully invested throughout 2000 or until I hit my next "fat lady sings" number. That number then gives me permission to take some off the table to reduce financial stress for the rest of my life. The rest of the money then becomes my leverage to give something to my grandchildren and to my favorite social causes.
