Cisco Systems, the US communications and internet transmission equipment group, is in advanced talks to acquire a minority stake in Italtel, ""

I doubt if the Street will look kindly upon CSCO and Italtel
deal. Italtel is heavily subsidized by the Italian Government that are still major share holders in TIM!

I was solo here saying that CSCO would need a 'old world' partner. Every time the same brushing aside: "Ericsson has too many parts CSCO does not need", "Alcatel is government owned", "Siemens?, Well, Siemens makes Xray equipment not routers".

Well, I think that after all that CSCO has to make do with Italtel then. All the time being right too early in this thread.
